The Pivot Point trading strategy has been around for a long time, and is a simple way for traders to have an idea of where the market will be heading during the course of the day/timeframe, with only a few simple calculations

Using the previous days/timeframes high, low and close, a series of points are derived. These points collectively are known as pivot levels and help identify key support and resistance levels.
